2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® vs Street Glide®

2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® vs Street Glide®

The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® have arrived and are now available to test ride and purchase at Tampa Bay Harley-Davidson®. These are two of the most popular touring motorcycles around because they’re affordable while delivering an excellent value proposition.

What’s New for 2023

The Street Glide® and Road Glide® arrive for the 2023 model year without any major changes. Harley-Davidson® has introduced new color options and made a number of minor revisions.

Ride Characteristics

The most notable difference when comparing the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® vs 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® is the fairing. The Road Glide® has a frame-mounted fairing, which is the traditional choice for a long-distance tourer. The Street Glide® has the fork-mounted fairing, which gives the bike more of a hot rod aesthetic. Otherwise, these stripped-down tourers have the same characteristics, such as a windscreen, two-up seating, floorboards, saddlebags and an infotainment system.

Performance

Both the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® are powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 107 engine, which delivers all the performance the average touring enthusiast needs. If you decide you need more down the line, you can always have us install a Screamin’ Eagle upgrade kit, and if you decide you want more now, there are premium versions of these motorcycles available with the Milwaukee-Eight® 114, 117 and 121 engines.

Infotainment

Both of these models come with the Boom!™ Box infotainment system. A 4.3-inch color touch screen is standard, and a 6.5-inch color touch screen is available as an option.

Technologies

Cruise control and a security system are included standard. ABS is available with both models as an option. The Street Glide® and Road Glide® also give you the option of the Reflex Defensive Rider System. RDRS electronic linked braking, vehicle hold control and various cornering-enhanced assists.

Customization

Both the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® and 2023 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® have a traditional chrome aesthetic. Vivid Black is standard and included in the MSRP, and Tampa Bay Harley-Davidson® offers Atlas Silver Metallic and Redline Red as premium options.

Special Editions

Since these are among Harley-Davidson®’s best-selling motorcycles, the brand offers them in many variants. The Street Glide® Special and Road Glide® Special have the more powerful Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine and add premium features. The Road Glide® Limited is a fully dressed tourer with a touring pack and luggage carrier. The Street Glide® ST and Road Glide® ST are sportier tourers with the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine, and the CVO Street Glide®, CVO Road Glide® and CVO Road Glide® Limited are factory custom editions that have the new Milwaukee-Eight® 121 engine.
