The Nightster® was introduced last model year alongside the Sportster® S as part of the all-new Sport family. It shares some similarities with the Sportster® Nightster® which was retired with the introduction of the Softail® platform. The new models proved to be an immediate success, and the Nightster® differentiated itself from its counterpart by remaining truer to its roots, including a classic Sportster® silhouette. The 2023 Harley-Davidson® Nightster® arrives at Tampa Bay Harley-Davidson® with only minor differences, but the big update is the introduction of the Nightster® Special. This is an option for the rider who wants to spend a little more—about an 11% difference in MSRP—for additional premium features.

Fundamental differences include the Special having selectable ride modes like the Sportster® S and cruise control. It also has an LCD screen as opposed to an analog display and a USB port along with support for Bluetooth. The Special has a vintage H-D® badge. The standard model has the classic bar and shield badge. The Nightster® Special also adds a 5-inch handlebar riser, a headlight fairing, split 7-spoke wheels, a passenger pillion and passenger footpegs. The premium model is also available in additional colors: Black Denim, Bright Billiard Blue and Industrial Yellow.
Another common question we get is how customizable the Nightster® is, and the answer is very. In fact, Harley-Davidson® markets it as a “bike to make your own.” The first choice you can make is the color. All models have a black finish. The Vivid Black paint is included standard.
