2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR in orange and black with performance suspension, Milwaukee-Eight® 121 V-Twin engine, and sport-inspired graphics.

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is a production motorcycle designed with direct influence from competitive racing. Its construction incorporates materials and components commonly found in aerospace and high-performance motorsports, setting it apart from conventional touring models. This motorcycle features extensive use of carbon fiber, titanium, and billet aluminum to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity and strength. The model is limited to 131 units, each with a serialized riser clamp marking its exclusivity.

Engine Specifications and Powertrain Engineering

The engine fitted in the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is the Screamin' Eagle® 131, the most powerful Milwaukee-Eight® engine ever installed in a factory Harley-Davidson®. This V-Twin engine produces 153 horsepower and 150 ft-lb of torque. The engine is tuned for a high redline at 6,500 revolutions per minute, significantly higher than typical Harley-Davidson® production models.

This Stage IV engine employs CNC-ported cylinder heads, optimized internal components, and the SE8-550 camshaft to achieve its output levels. The intake system includes a large 68 mm throttle body to improve airflow, supported by a lightweight CNC-machined aluminum intake manifold. The intake also features a washable Screamin' Eagle® High Flow air filter that contributes to engine efficiency and a distinctive intake hiss.

Exhaust flow is managed by an Akrapovič full titanium system, co-developed with Harley-Davidson® Factory Racing. This system is considerably lighter than the standard Milwaukee-Eight® exhaust by over 10 pounds. It incorporates 2-into-1 header pipes, carbon fiber heat shields, and a titanium muffler, which together provide weight savings, improved power output, and a more aggressive exhaust rumble. The exhaust system is fully compliant with emissions regulations across all states.

The transmission is the Screamin' Eagle® Racing King 6-speed, designed to endure the stresses of race-level speeds. It features shot-peened gears and shafts for enhanced strength and durability. The back-cut shift dogs improve gear engagement reliability, reducing the risk of missed shifts during aggressive riding.

Chassis and Suspension Innovations

The chassis of the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is engineered for race-level performance. The suspension uses Öhlins components developed for racing applications. The front suspension consists of 43 mm Öhlins FGR inverted forks that are fully adjustable and raise the bike’s ride height by two inches. This adjustment increases lean angles for more aggressive cornering capability. The rear suspension uses dual Screamin' Eagle® Öhlins remote reservoir shocks that offer fine-tuned damping for precise handling.

The swingarm is a billet aluminum component machined from a solid 220-pound block of 6061 aluminum, reduced to just 18 pounds. This precision-engineered part lowers unsprung weight, improving suspension response and enhancing stability at high speeds.

Mid-foot controls replace the standard footboards to allow deeper lean angles and improve rider control. Machined from billet aluminum, these controls reduce weight and provide more efficient shifting and braking inputs during dynamic riding.

The seating is a race-inspired solo design co-developed with Saddlemen®, featuring a pommel to provide additional support during aggressive acceleration and braking. The seat raises the rider position by one inch to optimize ergonomics for mid-control positioning. Carbon fiber construction helps reduce weight.

Braking and Wheel Systems

Stopping power on the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is provided by Brembo® GP4-RX calipers on the front with four 32 mm pistons each. These calipers grip 320 mm Brembo® T-Drive rotors designed for maximum heat dissipation and consistent braking performance under extreme conditions. The rear brake features a four-piston Brembo® caliper and a 300 mm rotor. The nickel plating on the calipers enhances corrosion resistance and durability.

Wheels are cast aluminum, chosen to minimize mass and unsprung weight. The front wheel includes a laser-etched CVO™ RR logo, emphasizing the model’s racing roots. These wheels improve suspension performance and contribute to overall agility.

Aerodynamics and Bodywork

The motorcycle’s bodywork integrates exposed carbon fiber panels beneath a gloss clear coat, a design choice directly inspired by race machinery. The carbon fiber not only reduces weight but also contributes to a lower center of gravity and improved aerodynamic efficiency.

LED lighting is integrated seamlessly into the bike’s design. This lighting system is engineered to enhance visibility and contribute to a sharp, aerodynamic profile.

Rider Interface and Technology

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR is equipped with an advanced electronic control system that includes nine selectable ride modes. Among these are Track and Track+ modes, developed with professional racer Kyle Wyman. Track mode adjusts throttle response, braking, and traction control for maximum closed-course performance, while Track Plus further reduces rider aid intervention for experienced riders requiring more direct control.

The bike’s instrumentation features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display powered by Skyline™ OS. The display offers clear visuals and an intuitive interface for navigation, connectivity, and system settings. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Bluetooth® allow smartphone integration, while embedded navigation provides route guidance without external devices. Over-the-air software updates maintain system currency.

The audio system is a Rockford Fosgate® Stage III unit delivering 500 watts of output through 6.5-inch, three-way fairing speakers. The system is designed to maintain clarity and volume during high-speed travel.

Rider Safety and Control Systems

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Road Glide® RR includes a comprehensive set of electronic safety aids categorized under Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements. These systems monitor lean angle and lateral acceleration to optimize performance during cornering.

The Cornering Enhanced Anti-lock Brake System (C-ABS) modulates brake pressure to prevent wheel lockup while maintaining stability through turns. Cornering Enhanced Electronic Linked Braking (C-ELB) adjusts brake force distribution between front and rear wheels during cornering to maintain the rider’s intended path.

The Cornering Enhanced Traction Control System (C-TCS) prevents excessive rear-wheel spin both on straight acceleration and during lean angles. The Cornering Drag-Torque Slip Control System (C-DSCS) minimizes rear wheel slip or lockup during aggressive downshifts or throttle reduction, especially on slippery surfaces.

Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) provides automatic brake hold functionality, keeping the bike stationary on inclines without requiring continuous brake application. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) continuously monitors tire pressure and alerts the rider if values fall outside the optimal range.
